Shimmer will take place around Spanish City, the Promenade and The Links - the main seafront road, A193, post code reference NE26 1BQ. The layout of the site is shown below.

Why not make an eveing of it in Whitley Bay? There is a range of amenities in the immediate vicinity to enjoy;

 

A. At the bottom of Watts Road that slopes down to the beach on the northern corner is The Boardwalk Cafe serving Greek meals and over-the-counter hot drinks and soup.

 

Public toilets are also to be found on the south side of Watts Road.

 

B. On the northern corner of Marine Avenue is Siam Bay Thai and Indian Restaurant, with the The Berkeley Tavern Public House next to it. On the south side lies a block with Whitley Whaler Fish and Chips Takeaway, Venetian Ices and Restaurant 7 Ice Cream Parlour and Tapas Bar, Di Meos Ice Cream Parlour and Pantrinis Fish and Chip Restaurant and Take Away.
