Flash Fog
Colin Priest

Flash Fog is inspired by the sea fret or 'haar' - a peculiar natural phenomenon where sea salt particles exaggerate condensation to create a density of moisture on the clearest of days. This will be a circular installation on the beach that will create a temporary landscape of illuminated mist. Movement sensors will trigger lights that will light the fog and create shifting shapes shadows and fog phantoms.
The audience will be encouraged to interact with the piece by triggering the light senors, blowing fog horns and using flash photography to take pictures in and around the illuminated Fog.
